Christian Marquise Wood an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association didn’t have his career all rosy.
In fact, one of his lows was when he was dumped by his girlfriend after he wasn’t selected for the 2015 draft.
Wood was projected to be selected in the second round of the NBA draft five years ago, but nobody picked his name in the end. To make the night worse, it wasn’t just NBA teams that passed on Wood that night as his girlfriend also bid him goodbye.
In an interview with Sports Rush, Wood said;
But that should be a distant memory as Wood is now a millionaire after he signed a $41 million contract with The Rockets.
On November 24, 2020, Wood was signed-and-traded (to a three-year, $41-million contract) from the Pistons to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Trevor Ariza, the draft rights to Isaiah Stewart, a future second round pick, and cash considerations.
Wood has also played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Detroit Pistons.
